A Brief History of Spanish LiteratureContents Sometimes its difficult to sumarize the history of our literature in a way that presents a small, but sufficient panoramic of our major works and authors. Which is the most important? Which is the best? This brief history of Spanish Literature attempts to be concise and descriptive, in the hopes that the first contact with this literature allows for going into greater depth afterwards, and above all, situates the work within our classics. Author Juan González Martínez (Barcelona, 1979) has degrees in both Hispanic Philology and Social and Cultural Anthropology, and is a professor of Spanish Language and Literature at the University Rovira and Virgili.
